funkis refers to the functionalism movement in scandinavia that emerged in the earlier 1900's. It focuses on the idea that everything should be designed for its purpose. You can read more about it here.
Growing up in a non wasteful society like Sweden, where recycling and re-growth forest was established over 50 years ago, you have an inherent sense of looking after the environment. You are taught to think globally, that it is not just about you and there is a need to form a long term approach. At funkis, we are proud to only manufacture in Australia and Sweden. The advanced industrial policies result in safer products, better labor conditions, proper wages, as well as higher environmental standards. We ensure that anything we create or source is in line with our passion about being as sustainable as possible.
In addition to ensuring Funkis produced items are sustainable, we stock brands that align with our sustainability ethos. Kowtow, Iris Hantverk, La Bruket and Ferm Living (just to name a few) are brands that put an emphasis on their responsibility in reducing the environmental impact of their production.
returns + exchanges
Funkis is happy to offer our customers an exchange or credit note on any full priced items purchased through our online store if the item(s) are: In original purchase condition. - All tags, labels are intact. - The item(s) have not been worn/washed - If your return shows visible signs of wear or if the product is not in original condition we will not process the return. - We cannot refund or exchange sale items
CLOTHING We are now accepting returns and offering refunds on CLOTHING only. This includes ALL brands. It does NOT include accessories, such as bags, belts, socks, tights, scarves or jewellery.
Your item must still meet the above criteria. To return, please contact the online store and then post back to us. Once we receive the item here in store, we will process a full refund minus shipping through the avenue that payment was made.
funkis reserves the right to deny refunds if the article is not in purchased condition and with original tags.

we try to process exchanges within 2-3 business days of receiving the item. If you are requiring your exchange sooner, please send us an email and we will try and prioritise yours.
Please note there is no return or exchange on sale items unless the product is deemed faulty.
funkis is a very small business and we proudly produce all of our funkis own products in either Sweden or Australia, which is very costly. At the same time we also try to keep our prices as low as possible, so our margins are very tight. This means that we do not have the set up to handle exchanges during sales. If we were to process refunds during sales we would need to factor these extra costs into the price.

funkis has spent over 20 years trying to perfect our size guides to ensure our clogs are sized accurately for the majority of people. please refer to our size guide. Note: Our low clogs have a broad base so if you have a narrow foot we do recommend you to size down. Our high clogs do have a narrow base so if you have a broad foot we recommend to size up.

we re-order a lot of our core clogs, homewares and some clothing. We will make preorders available when we have a delivery on the way so be sure to check back. We also send newsletters when we get deliveries so be sure to subscribe. If you are desperate, email or call us and we can give you an idea on when things will be back in stock.

we process orders at 9am every business day. If your order is placed after then, it will be processed the following business day.
Shipping to all destinations within Australia are charged at the flat rate of $10 and $15 for express. International shipping is calculated at the checkout once your address details have been entered. The cost will be calculated depending on weight and shipping destination.
All purchases made within Australia are posted with Australia Post or Couriers Please (depending on your location). All international orders are sent via Australia Post pack and track post and require a signature upon delivery.

Yes, for international shipments, customs duties and foreign taxes may be payable before your order is cleared by customs. funkis will not be held responsible for any charges incurred nor can we provide an estimate of these costs. Yes, during sales and seasonal peak periods there may be a slight delay in order processing and shipment. We are a small team and process orders in store, so we really appreciate your patience during busier times.

gift cards + credit codes
you will automatically receive an email with a gift card that you can forward on if it is a gift. that gift card can be used in store or online by the recipient. The gift card is valid for 3 years from issue.
you will be provided a code to input at checkout for the value of your return. It will last 2 years from date of issue.
